The Reference Department is the primary information center for Fogler Library. Our staff of professional librarians is happy to assist library users in identifying, locating, and using resources both print and electronic. We are located on the first floor of the library.

The reference collection contains many of the library's most frequently consulted works: general and specialized encyclopedias, dictionaries, periodical indexes and abstracts, almanacs, handbooks, directories, bibliographies, and many other resources. Computer workstations are available to access the library's many databases. This collection's primary focus is on general reference tools, and specialized resources for the Social Sciences and Humanities. The Science and Engineering Center houses scientific and technical reference tools.
