Gis. Learn GIS Immersion Workshop
Fee $25 ($15 for students)
PRE-REGISTRATION AND PREPAYMENT REQUIRED.
Gathering data is a crucial step in research, but looking at it in table
form it can be hard to see connections. Using a geographic information
system (GIS) we can combine data with its geospatial information and present
it in new ways that can easily show patterns, trends, and relationships.
This will be an introduction to computer mapping, ArcView 3.3 software,
important applications and techniques, as well as strategies to find
ready-made numeric data tables and maps in digital form. Fee includes 70
page workbook and cd-rom of files associated with workshop exercises.
Thursday, 23 April 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. or
Saturday, 16 May 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
