1. SERVICES
A. COMPUTER MAPPING/GIS CLINICS THROUGH OCT.15 FREE TO FACULTY AND STUDENTS
   Announcing "GIS/Computer Mapping Clinics", offering consultation on any stage of a faculty or student computer mapping project, and introducing the GeoStats facilities to carry out all or some of it here in the Library. Clinic hours are Monday-Thursday 9 am - 2 pm from now until October 15 when our GIS workshops begin <library.umaine.edu/newmedia/#Computer_Mapping>. 2. DATABASES
A. BOOKS IN PRINT REPLACED BY BOOK INDEX WITH REVIEWS
The University of Maine System Libraries announce that Book Index with Reviews has replaced Books in Print starting July 2007. Book Index with Reviews has information on over 4 million book titles (including audiobooks), around 700,000 music and DVD/video titles, citations to millions of reviews in peer-reviewed journals and popular magazines, and links to 800,000 full-text reviews. It also includes full-text first chapters of many books, an all-editions grouping function, Lexile scores, a rating guide based on retail and library sales, and the opportunity to save searches or create alerts. One-click URSUS and EBSCO database searches are available from records for individual titles. Book Index with Reviews is already available on Fogler Library's Indexes and Databases page at www.library.umaine.edu/indexesdb/Indexes.asp. For assistance please contact Reference at 581-1673.

B. NEW DATABASE OFFERED: EDUCATION FULL TEXT
    Fogler Library now offers access to the H.W. Wilson database "Education Full Text" thanks to funding from the University of Maine System Libraries. It provides high-quality indexing and abstracts for an international range of English-language education journals, books, and yearbooks. More than 725 Journals are indexed “cover to cover” going back to 1983. Full text articles are provided for over 350 journals going back to 1996.
ArticleLinker, a popular URSUS adjunct, connects to additional full-text articles and points to library holdings in print and microform. Education Full Text is available from the Indexes and Databases page at http://library.umaine.edu/indexesdb/Indexes.asp on the Library’s website.
