1. SERVICES
A. SPECIAL COLLECTIONS EXTENDED HOURS
During the Fall and Spring semester when classes are in session, the Special
Collections department on the third floor of Fogler Library remains open until 7
p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. These extended hours are meant to accommodate
students, faculty, researchers and patrons unable to visit during regular
business hours. Closing time on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays is 4 p.m.
Special Collections is open Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the year.
B. THE UNIVERSITY CLUB NOW ON WEB
The University Club, located in the Thomas Lynch Room, Second Floor of Fogler
Library, now has a web home. Upcoming events and the current week's lunch menu
is on the home page. Other pages have information about the Club, membership,
room rentals, directions to Fogler Library and the Lynch Room, and how to
contact the Club manager. University Club memberships are open to all university
employees, alumni, and retirees, as well to those who work for other
institutions/agencies located on campus. Please bookmark this page for your news

2. EVENTS
A. VAN REID AND THE MOOSEPATH LEAGUE
Van Reid will visit the University on Tuesday, 11 April, 3 pm. in Special
Collections, third floor, Fogler Library. This is an opportunity to meet Reid,
popular author of the series of novels set in Maine and featuring the Moosepath
League, Cordelia Underwood, and a large cast of characters. Reid will talk
about and read from his work. The University Bookstore will be on hand, so
here's your chance to get an autographed copy.
