As you prepare for next semester's classes, remember that librarians in the Reference and Science & Engineering
departments at Fogler are available to provide instructional sessions for your students. These sessions can cover
specific databases, or a variety of research materials, that will aid your students in their class work. For
Humanities and Social Science disciplines, contact Nancy Lewis on FirstClass or at 581-3613; for Science and
Engineering disciplines, contact Jim Bird on FirstClass or at 581-1697.

Open access leads to wider sharing of scholarly research, increasing the impact of research. Maximize the impact
and influence of your work. Before signing your next publishing contract, confirm that you retain your right to
self-archive in the DigitalCommons@UMaine institutional repository <>.
