1.   NEWS/ANNOUNCEMENTS/EVENTS
            A. LIBRARY RELEASES NEW MUSIC VIDEO
The Renewals are back! Fogler Library’s band has released a new music video, “Inside Fogler Library.” UMaine students Cassie Alley, Erin Keim, and Brian Porter take the lead on the vocals with a little help from staff members, Elaine Smith and Gretchen Gfeller. The singers are accompanied by musicians Thomas Jones (piano) and Larry Corbett (fiddle), both Fogler staff. “Inside Fogler Library“  was written by Jones and Corbett. Other credits include: Stephen Fadel, camera and Larry Corbett, sound and editing. The production team included: Gretchen Gfeller, Larry Corbett, and Thomas Jones.

            B. FOGLER LIBRARIAN GUESTS ON LIVE RADIO
Ask a Librarian will take on a new meaning on February 4th when Fogler Business Librarian Stephen Fadel is one of the guests on "Doing Business" <http://www.umext.maine.edu/Waldo/Radio/ > a radio show hosted by Associate Extension Professor, Jane Haskell on station WERU <http://weru.org/ >   The topic of the live call-in show will be market research. Fadel will be joined by other guests from the local business community.
 
2. COLLECTIONS
            A. CRIMINAL JUSTICE ABSTRACTS
Fogler Library now has access to the database Criminal Justice Abstracts. Indexing pertinent literature in over 500 journals, as well as books, government reports, dissertations and unpublished papers, the database covers criminology, crime trends, crime prevention and deterrence, juvenile delinquency, juvenile justice, policing, courts, punishment, and sentencing.
