For Fogler Library I prepare, and maintain:

As leader of the design team, Maine Census Population Totals data base, led the architecting, edited the data base, and composed pages of the new Web site, for the Digital Library project of the Fogler Library. 

As leader of the design team, UMS System-wide Government Information Task Force, led the architecting of the government information site for Mariner, the University of Maine System Libraries' Web presence.

As part of the design team, Fogler Library Climate Center Digital Library Task Force I designed and maintain several pages.

Based on my own original concept, I designed, prepared and maintained the Maine Nature News, as its Editor from 1996 to 2006.

As a volunteer for the Maine Audubon Society I prepared and maintained the Fields Pond Nature Center suite of pages from 1998 to 2006.

Some professional information about this librarian...

With some employment in the private sector, I have worked in education nearly continuously for 40 years, including teaching full and part-time in secondary and higher education institutions.  I have a number of years experience in computer programming and applications.  I maintain an interest in the natural sciences, French language and culture, and Canadian studies.

My computer-related experience includes:

  •   Microcomputer applications/programs: Access, D-Base IV, FileMaker Pro (databases); Excel, LOTUS 1-2-3 (spreadsheets); MacWrite, Word (word processing); Adobe Illustrator, Canvas, MacPaint, PhotoDraw, SuperPaint, UltraPaint (graphics); ClarisWorks, FirstClass, MacKermit, TinCan, TCP Connect (telecommunications); HyperCard (programming, tasking shell); OmniScan, PhotoEditor, Photoshop, Power Point (image editing); Claris Home Page, Front Page, HTML Web Weaver (html editors); AppleWorks (multi-purpose); and ArcView, ArcGIS, MapInfo (spatial data analysis).
