The library is pleased to announce that it has added the core Jewish Heritage Video Collection to its holdings. The collection, which is listed in URSUS and housed in the Media Resource Center, comprises nearly 200 titles, including feature films, children's programs, foreign and Yiddish classics, television programs, and documentaries.The result of a grant submitted by Laura Lindenfeld to the New York-based Charles H. Revson Foundation, the collection required $2,500 in matching funds, which were provided by the Minsky Judaic Studies Fund, supported by the families of Norman Minsky and Leonard and Renee Minsky of Bangor. Videos may be viewed in the Library or checked out to University patrons, as well as organizations and individuals throughout the state. For more information, see www.jhvc.org.
