Serials Collection Review 2007 |
For Fiscal Year 2008, beginning July 1, 2007, Fogler Library's anticipated annual serials expenditures are $4,035,350. The Library may be able to continue most of its current subscriptions and standing orders. In late March 2007, it was announced that the University plans to provide $300,000 for library acquisitions to cover inflation, rather than $400,000, for the next fiscal year. If necessary, the library will cover subscription increases from the monograph budget.
The Library maintains a watch list of serial titles for which changes are recommended in FY08. At this time (March 2007) there are no proposed changes. The final serials renewal lists for 2008 must be sent to the Library's vendors by September 7, 2007; any changes (such as format, cancellations, additions) must be made by then.
Requests for new subscriptions continue to be added to the existing request list (Excel File), which will be consulted if the University makes additional funds available. Use the Journal Recommendation Form.
