Serials Collection Review 2005 |
For Fiscal Year 2006, beginning July 1, 2005, Fogler Library's anticipated annual serials budget is $3,073,306, plus $230,000 in anticipated outside funds, for an available total of $3,303,306. Fogler Library's estimated serials expenditures for FY06 total $3,615,595, based upon FY05's known and anticipated expenditures with 10% inflation. The actual FY05 expenditures will be known in July 2005 and the final serials budget will be known in October 2005.
Due to the expected shortfall, the library will not be able to maintain all of our current subscriptions, listed under the links below. However, the University of Maine's FY06 E&G Budget Prep document calls for an additional $350,000 for library acquisitions to cover inflation, and $50,000 for new acquisitions.
The Library is maintaining a watch list of serial titles for which changes may be necessary in FY06. Please review the watch list and send feedback to Kathleen Brown.
Please send suggestions for title changes (additions, cuts, and replacements) or format changes (print, online) to Kathleen Brown or use the form. Please note whether a new journal should replace an existing one. Requests for new subscriptions will be added to the request list in case additional funds become available.
