William S. Cohen Papers Forum

Held Wednesday, October 5, 2005
at Buchanan Alumni House

Energy policy continues to confound us as it did in the 1970s when then Representative Bill Cohen began promoting energy conservation and alternative fuels research to reduce dependence on foreign oil. Now, thirty years later, what compromises are needed to fuel the future and gain energy security for Maine and the nation? Our distinguished speakers shared their knowledge and led discussion of issues such as reliable energy, biomass development, and LNG terminal siting.
