It is important that you use appropriate terms to find appropriate resources, e.g.:

Topic = Domestic violence
Subject heading = Family violence

Use URSUS to locate books and journals in the library. You may also request books and articles from other libraries through your ILLiad account. Create one if you do not already have one http://illiad.library.umaine.edu/illiad/firsttime.html

• Lexis-Nexis - National, regional and international news as well as U.S. legal sources

• Maine Newsstand
• Proquest Newspapers - Full text of more than 500 U.S. and international news sources
• Statistical Abstract of the United States - Statistical tables drawn from U.S. federal agencies plus some state and private sources.
• Statistical Universe - United States government and privately published statistical sources
